Male Fall Hair Style Trends 2023

A new look is the perfect way to stay cool and trendy. Fall 2023 is the season of retro looks. Styles reflecting on past hair trends have come back with a modern twist giving men numerous hairstyle options.  Hair bangs, messy curls, and sharp cuts are back in business! Men looking for haircut ideas should read the latest male hair trends below.

The Pompadour

The pompadour haircut recalls the up-turned hairstyle which was popularized in the 1950s. When we think back to the original pompadour hairstyle, we think of “The Elvis Cut.” Elvis Presley would comb his dark black hair in an upward motion to achieve the look. The modern pompadour involves longer and more voluminous hair on top and faded sides. The top part of the hair is then styled upward to create a clean-finished look. This hairstyle is back in fashion with former soccer player, David Beckham, sporting the trendy cut.

The Wolf Cut

This look combines the mullet and shag hairstyle. For the wolf haircut, the stylist will cut medium long choppy layers on top, shorter hair on the sides, and long layers on the back of the head. This style can be created on longer or shorter hair and was popularized by the character Billy from “Stranger Things.” Although the look became infamously associated with Billy, referred to as “The Billy Cut,” the look continues to catch attention with current artists. Maxx Morando, Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend and the drummer for Liily an L.A. rock band, also wears the wolf cut.

Male Curtain Bangs

The 90s-style curtain bangs have made a return for both men and women. Curtain bangs are face-framing bangs that begin with shorter strands in the center that gradually become longer on the outside. This style has been popularized by K-pop artists like Suga from BTS. Actors like Jacob Elordi from the Netflix film “The Kissing Booth” and Felix Mallard from Netflix show “Ginny and Georgia” have also been seen with curtain bangs.

The Natural Look

The latest male hair trends have men keeping their hair texture natural.  A shaggy haircut and a little bit of hair product is enough to complete this look. The more voluminous, the better with this trend!  This trend is most common with curly and wavy-haired men who use volumizing hair products to show off their natural hair. Layers are a great way to create a thick and edgy hair effect. Perms have made a comeback as straight-haired men find new and creative ways to add volume to their hair. The more effortless the hair, the better!
